Finding Meat deals at the Grocery Store!

I stopped in at Aldi's on Tuesday morning after an appointment. They had some meat marked down 50% too so that was great! I had to have those advantage bars -they are good and not too bad for you.

Aldi's

3 advance bars -$5.39 each

bananas $.98

Chicken tender loins 3 packs- $3.37, $3.89, and $3.51 (after 50% off)

Whipped topping -$2.49

Hamburger 2 packs of  80/20-$3.91 and $3.88 (after 50% off)

My total was $41.50

I also found some Meat deals on Flashfood at Meijer

Two roasts for approximately $10 a piece and three thin angus beef NY Strip Steaks for $10.37 for a pound.   So that bill was around $32.00.

Meat deals are hard to find and I try to stock up when I can find them.

We fixed the ice maker line on the fridg (ok he did but I gave him encouragement) -the part was not covered under warranty.  I think they pinched it maybe when they put in the kitchen floor.  Not a big deal really till you want some ice.  Everything is working now.

I think the roofers are coming this morning.  So the more we can save elsewhere the better for us.   The floor and the roof are the two major things we had fixed this Spring....Nothing more till Fall.

When I fed the chickens our scraps this morning I went to the greenhouse and picked a bowlful of lettuce for salad.

We haven't yet planted the main garden...it's been cold still (46 this morning) and we usually try to wait till as close to Memorial day as we can.  Not only does it need to be warmer at night but the soil needs to be warm or what a shock to all those plants!

It makes me happy to see those deals on the meat! Wow! It sure does save to keep the appliance repairman away. Last time we had to have him it was $90 for him to just walk in the door plus parts plus labor. Ugh

Our whole house generator project is finally finished. We also got a new water heater and water filtration system because we were pulling up a lot of sediment in our well water. Our bank account is needing a break now!

Have a good week!

That long comment was mine.

Great deals at Aldi, and you timed that just right. Yum on the beef on flash foods too. You found some good deals. The lettuce looks so good.
Glad hubby was able to fix the ice maker, and I bet your new flooring looks so nice. Ugh on the roof. Our skylights were leaking, so we had them taken out and part of the roof replaced. Everything is so expensive these days.
Hope you have a great weekend.

Nice price on the hamburger and chicken. I will do without steak forever (or anything) that requires me to pay $10+ a pound. You are braver than me.

There is always so much to do- I bet you love that water filtration system. That statement of bank account is needing a break now is exactly right ours is saying stop now! Have a great week too

I bet you miss those sky lights...but they can be a lot of trouble sometimes. I'm glad you were able to get it done and over with.
My brother once told my Mom just take a big vacation and spend that money. She told him oh so are you going to replace my furnace when it quits. She always spoke her mind..I think she was too old to take a vacation LOL.
Have a great weekend too.

Thanks Cheryl, It's a matter of prospective I guess. Husband loves steak and we cannot go out and have a steak for that price ..compared to the normal price it's a win.
Have a great weekend.
