I loved reading them!<br />I think my husband picked up that saying when I was a younger inexperienced cook. My Dad used to stand at the stove and fry the pork chops and then make the pan gravy while Mom made the rest of the meal. He could fry them so the bone was crispy along the sides. The bone was the best part and only my Dad could make gravy that tasted like his. It was so brown that it just teetered on the edge of being burnt. Yummy! <br /><br />What I can remember of our menu is White Sausage Linguine, Chili, Hamburger steaks and those are fried brown, baked tilapia, homemade pizza. I like to take the HB steaks out of the skillet and add a can of drained hominy and brown that until it picks up all the good bits from the skillet. That is another of my Dad's things.
