Stress Relief Walking

We have been so busy around here working in the yard that we figured we have enough exercise.  Yesterday, I decided to take a walk and just enjoy the warm weather instead of working in it all the time. A stress relieve walk.

We are lucky and can still walk here.  We can walk in the parks that are still open or down the street.  I picked down the street.

No other walkers were out there and there were no cars on the road.  There was a couple that was sitting in the garage with the door up, watching the sun come up, and enjoying their cup of coffee.  I hollered at them from 6 ft away and we had a great little conversation that I'm sure all the neighbors heard ha ha.

Walking did me so good that husband has decided to come along with me this morning.  After it warms up, he said.

Yard Work

Some of my work was repairing holes in the yard this past weekend.  I used my old potting soil and leveled the ground where the rain barrel sits and I also used it in some ankle twisting little holes in the lawn.  You know the ones that you you fall into as your innocently walking across the lawn. Yeah, that's the ones.

I take daily walks if I can but I am in the country & can easily walk without running into anyone. I walk to the end of my road to the mailbox. I have a neighbor right across the road from my mailbox so if they're out we talk across the road to each other....they are seriously struggling...a young family who lost a toddler in a house fire last fall. Now they're living in a little camper. He lost his job. It's gut wrenching. I've know him since he was a toddler himself & part of his problems are the poor choices he's made. But they have farm animals & a garden so that is very good for them.

I cannot imagine how hard it would be to be stuck inside without even being able to go into a yard or garden.

I'm not filling up holes in my yard. We have armadillos & it would take dump truck loads. So we have to watch where we walk & mowing can knock your teeth out.

I'm ordering plants through my local farmer's market. I may order from a local greenhouse as well if I can't get what I want there...both are drive through & they load it in your car.

Oh I feel so sorry for that couple..I just can't imagine the heartache.
I feel for the people in apartments too. They can go for walks here but most of the time I bet they are just stuck there. Thank goodness we bought a house.
Armadillos! Oh my goodness I can just imagine the holes!
It rained today and I'm kind of glad. I need the rest from all that walking we've started ha ha.
