The Granddaughter was over yesterday and we walked back to where the winter sowing jugs are in the garden. We started peeking in each opening. jumping up and down, and yelling that something was coming up in this one. We were so excited to see green! She has become my gardening partner.
It was such a beautiful day and she played outside for a bit longer. Then later the husband talked to our neighbor and he wanted to know what on earth we had in those milk jugs back there. So funny what we do when we think no one is looking!
I can't wait for homegrown goodness!
I know some of you are already gardening. I'm so jealous!
How's it going in your neck of the woods or your garden?
In Love with the Veterinarian (The Alaska Sunrise Romances Book 1)
The Adventures of William and Thomas (I Told You So! Book 1) ( Sounds like a good book, I was laughing as I just read the preview)

I'm excited for you!.. It is so, so wet here that even if it was warm enough we would probably sink in mud in our yard. I am starting to think about getting some seeds started inside though.
ReplyDeleteOh man at the seeds that have rotted in the mud here! Hopefully it will dry up soon for you.
DeleteWe still haven't passed our last frost date yet. We had a freeze last night. Mid April is our outdoor planting time. I don't start seeds early but I'll probably do a little in the first of April.
ReplyDeleteYour neighbor must have seen your excitement with the jugs! Funny :)
Oh your so lucky April is almost here!
DeleteThanks Vickie, I got 2 of the books today
ReplyDeleteNo gardening going on here yet, husband had knee replacement surgery this week but I love reading about others gardens
Glad you found some books! Hope your husband feels better soon.
DeleteAww I'm sure your grand daughter was so cute peeking in the milk jugs. Glad you have some growing things. Sounds like you have a good little helper.
ReplyDeleteShe is so fun and gets excited as I do. I hope it lasts!
DeleteSome of my milk jugs have sprouted also. We are in Valparaiso, IN.
ReplyDeleteThat so good to hear! Here's hoping we will be successful!
DeleteOur neighborhood is covered in yellow and green pollen. Yucky stuff! We went from warm temperatures back to cold last night. Spring winds are rolling in and cooler weather is back to stay for a bit.
ReplyDeleteIt really is flip flopping right now. Hopefully soon spring break I'll win.
DeleteSeveral free cookbooks today. Yay, my favorite! I love how excited your granddaughter is about your garden. :)
