I hear the teachers are packing it but I'm really not sure about that..may be just rumors. I'm glad we are keeping people working instead of unemployment.
The school is closed down except for this operation so electricity is saved. The buses are only going one run so fuel is saved. So i don't forsee no property taxes raised.
You stay safe too!
Vickie @Vickie's Kitchen and Gardenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03402367232977896594noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5623860601773162733.post-43635693157546089312020-03-18T19:51:16.387-04:002020-03-18T19:51:16.387-04:00Taking a walk in the woods every day was one of my...Taking a walk in the woods every day was one of my favorite parts of homeschooling.

The meal thing is weird to me. I think there are people who really need help but the cost of this is mindbogglingly to me...& how in the world is it paid for? Higher property taxes I assume? Hopefully people turn down help if they don't need to save their community money.

Stay safe & enjoy the time you have with your grandchildren!Jennyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00305409125105992525noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5623860601773162733.post-78943599256886966082020-03-18T14:16:15.687-04:002020-03-18T14:16:15.687-04:00Yes your so right, packaging is a worry ..we'v...Yes your so right, packaging is a worry ..we've been letting the packages stay outside for awhile and we don't get them from the mailman. Amish auctions are being canceled. English auctions canceled for 8 wks or more.Hubby is picking up extra hauling jobs as the 70 yr old hauler is now sheltered in place. My mail carrier pulled in and gave me a package. She had gloves on and offered to give me a pair as She advised me to not accept any package without gloves due to this testing and publication https://www.livescience.com/how-long-coronavirus-last-surfaces.html

But how long can the new coronavirus linger on surfaces, anyway? The short answer is, we don't know. A new analysis found that the virus can remain viable in the air for up to 3 hours, on copper for up to 4 hours, on cardboard up to 24 hours and on plastic and stainless steel up to 2 to 3 days. However, this study, which was published in the preprint database medRxiv on Wednesday (March 11), has not yet yet been peer-reviewed.

Best be safe than sorry. We would be happy to even ride up and park and just enjoy the water from the safety of the car. It is great to have lunches all prepared and of things the kids like! Not sure what the kids are getting here but on the news it showed Styrofoam clam shell containers so may they are still getting hot lunches. They also get breakfast for the next day. I agree that things seem surreal. Every night when I go to bed my brain thinks that when I get up in the morning things will be back to normal but they are not. But, what would normal be now? I'm not sure.Lanahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09380649410508372279noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5623860601773162733.post-89294287685429029562020-03-18T08:40:49.175-04:002020-03-18T08:40:49.175-04:00Oh my the news is not good anywhere. Our governor has issued that cities need to follow their own guidelines. Our county, the third biggest in the State, has now issues CDC's strict guidelines. Stores are closed early, everything non-essential is pretty much shut down. DH is in construction and is still considered essential. I am not happy about it because of the risk and we both have auto-immune disorders. We do have good immune systems. Praying that will be enough.

I had to go to the hardware store tonight. It was quiet and those who were shopping were being safe. People are not listening. Waffle House was filled to the brim. WalMart looked like a madhouse. DH & I are self-isolating as much as we can.
