My whole idea to not have a Christmas Tree ran into a snag a couple of weeks ago when I realized the grand kids might be coming to our house Christmas morning. We needed a Santa Bag and quick. My plan is to have it by the fireplace (no fire of course) with Christmas presents flowing out of it. Make it look like Santa was here.
This is a very easy sewing job! I found that felt material is the most frugal way to make this but of course you could make it out of any material you have on hand.
You will need 3 yards of felt
Cording
Fold felt in half and sew up side seams.
Leaving top of the bag open
Make a casing big enough for the cording to go through. Mine measured 2 inches.
Make a slit in the front of the casing and hem around the edges.
Pull cording through and iron.
Now it's done, a beautiful and easy Santa Bag!
