Pumpkin Pie Spice Recipe

Spice in a Jar -Vickie's Kitchen and Garden

Fall is my favorite time of year!  The leaves, the cooler weather, and then the heavenly smell of pumpkin pie baking all make for a wonderful season.  I started making my own Pumpkin Pie Spice awhile ago to put in my oatmeal this time of year.  Then I like to add about 1 tsp or so of Apple butter and it puts me in a wonderful mood in the morning!

It just takes a few minutes to whip it up and you are all set for quite awhile.

Pumpkin Pie Spice

4 tsp. of cinnamon
1 tsp of ground ginger
1/2 tsp of ground allspice
3/4 tsp of ground nutmeg

Mix all the ingredients in a bowl and then pour into your container. I love to double or even triple this recipe so I'll have enough for fall and winter baking.
