We decided to go curbside shopping on Wednesday night.  We've been going around 7 or so and it's been pitch dark. We have to really look to make sure we don't miss anything.  The brakes though were applied when we saw this desk a lady just put to the curb.

Grandson son had been making do with a card table and he has never complained.  It was a make do set up and now he is very proud of his new desk.   Cat approved!

    1. it's a lot of fun Lana. There is so much we leave behind because we don't need it. If we had a pole barn we could store it and sell it I bet!

  3. Amazing find!

I pulled up all of my tomato plants today. I filled a 5 gallon bucket with large green tomatoes, picked a good 3 or 4 cups each of chocolate cherry & sweet 100 tomatoes. 19 the large tomatoes that have no blemishes I wrapped in newspaper & put under my bed...I've done this with apples before but not tomatoes. I'm hoping ot have fresh tomatoes through to Christmas.

I don't know what to do with all the cherry tomatoes? Let them ripen on the counter? That's what I've been doing. I just don't want any green tomato relish or anything but I may see if a recipe pulls me in.

I also helped husband take out three window acs & washed 6 windows, pulled in all my houseplants & have them all in the dining room. I need to clean & get those set out around the house but I am pooped.

We're having a birthday party for a 3 yr old tonight so I need a rest before then.

    2. I keep my bedroom really cold (probably 45' to 60' at night depending on the outside temps). I hate getting hot while I sleep.

    3. I never did see if it was cold under my bed..just asked my husband and he said yes. So I'm going to try some storage under there sometime. I like it cool too in the bedroom.

  4. Great find Vickie! Both thrift stores in our neck of the woods are closed because of covid. I can't blame them, they are staffed by volunteers, mainly older. You are my hero helping with schooling at home. Hope you are having a great weekend!

    1. I don't blame them for being closed either Nancy. They are protecting their volunteers, I love that. It seems as though ours are open but we haven't been in yet.
Hope you have a great weekend too!
