Merry Christmas! The Best and Worst Moments so Far!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!  Today I'm busy cleaning house and I have decided on the menu for Christmas dinner.  It really wasn't too hard because we basically have the same each year.   By the way if you have company coming and you need to clean a messy house fast I have some helpful suggestions here.

Just in case you wondered what was on the menu Christmas Day:

Ham (covered with pineapples and brown sugar)

A wonderful potato casserole and mac and cheese that  my daughter brings

Shuck Beans (this is a holiday staple)

Rolls

Dessert will be 2 pies (pecan and apple) and a cheesecake that I bought to support the band at school.

Best
The best part of Christmas though will be watching the grand kids open their presents!

Worst

The worst part of this Christmas was the snow day yesterday for the grand kids.  You would not think a snow day was a bad thing but my grand daughter called crying because she was missing her Christmas school party.  It was very sad -so her and her brother got to open their stockings and their Mom made sure it was a fun day too.

I hope you will have a joyous Christmas!

    1. Merry Christmas to you to Lana. She will always remember that snow day and the party, unfornately. A story to tell her kids.

  2. Sorry she missed her Christmas party. No snow to speak of here, thank goodness. We got a dusting, but it was gone quickly.
Merry Christmas to you and yours.
