Free Kindle Books for Today 5/19/21 Plus I have a Tomato Problem!

We went to one of the local green houses yesterday because I needed flowers.  I always want and need more flowers but really my first love is tomatoes.  Yep I have Big Boy tomatoes growing in the little greenhouse but listen they had the early girl, the bonnie best, and the Romas.   The best thing ever was the big tomato plant in the pot for $3.99 that already had big blooms.   I grabbed that right up.

I hope I have enough tomato cages. I'll need them!

I didn't plant them yet...this is last year's garden just for effect LOL!

How's it going in your neck of the woods?

Hello, my name is Kathy, and I have a tomato problem too. :)
If I could only plant one thing, it would have to be tomatoes...nothing better than a home grown mater right out of the garden. I have some early girls, better boys, mortgage lifter, hillbilly tomatoes planted...just a few of each. ;)

I told Hubby 3 tomato plants was all I was getting because I get my roma tomatoes and canning tomatoes from Amish... I now am up to 8 ... better than the 100 plus I had last year.

I've never seen mortgage lifter or hillbilly tomatoes. Those would be fun to try for sure!

I struggle with buying more on clearance all summer long. This year I've done better planting all the seeds I bought. In the past I've never planted them all...my eyes were always too big when I shopped.
But this year I've just filled containers with potting soil & planted seeds like crazy. I have tons of different flower seeds sprouting in containers all around. And I planted all of my pumpkin & watermelon in the tall grassy area away from our yard. They're looking very good actually. I decided to try this because I'd read the Indians used to plant corn, beans & pumpkin then travel on to other areas. Coming back in the fall to collect the harvest. So we'll see if my pumpkins can grow on their own.

Great Expierment. Pumpkins can over take the garden and I was just sitting here going through my seeds trying to decide if I had the room this year for pumpkins. I need a grassy area.
