Frugal list for the Week- Getting Ready for Winter

The geese have all left the local lake.

The weather has become quite chilly in Michigan so I got out our armor, the coveted fleece sheets.  We will probably get a few warm days here and there but I like to do this when I know the cold weather is here to stay.   Otherwise, we would never harden up!

Received coupons from JC Penny in the mail and on my account, Bought two outfits for the grand baby and a Winnie the Pooh. After coupons the total was only $24.00.  I still have one $10 off  $10 coupon that is good until the November 11.

Cleaned my closet and sent the clothes to Thredup.   The bags they send for you to pack are free right now. I've bought from this company before but I've never sold anything to them.   Have you used Thredup before?

Worked the funeral dinner for one of our church members and was able to eat dinner.  I was also given leftovers.

Helped my husband fix both of the living room lamps.   They would not turn on so we replaced the sockets on both of them.   This took more time than we thought and was a learning experience.   We knew the time spent was worth the effort when we considered how much lamps cost new.

Made enough Swagbucks to get a $5 Amazon card this week.

Made two freezer meals of meatloaf -one for us and one for our daughter.

What did you do to save money this past week?
