A Potting Bench Make Over

A Potting Bench Makeover

I always wanted a potting bench and when I saw this one last Fall at a garage sale, I just couldn't pass it up.   The $5.00 on the price tag just couldn't be beat!

It had a few flaws mind you and it definitely needed a makeover.   If you look at the back leg you realize they had a nice dog.   Who just happened to love wood....

Then there was the problem with the missing bowl for the stuff you need to put in the compost bin.    Which I found out yesterday after planting all my pots that yes this is a good thing to have.

So youngest daughter bought me the paint for Mother's Day.   Yep, I ask for crazy stuff.   We had fun picking out the color.  It was Mother/Daughter bonding at it's best!

After two coats of green you can barely see the dog's teeth marks!  FYI:  I love to paint in the grass eventually you can just mow it away.

I couldn't find a bowl today so I settled on a aluminum pan at the dollar store instead.   I measured and it was perfect!

All done ready for the next pots to plant.   This is so much better than the patio table!
