My Frugal Ways This Past Week 6/14/15

My Frugal Ways This Past Week 6/14/15

It's been raining here for the past four days off and on.   Not really able to be in my flower garden or the vegetable garden.   When we have a chance though we harvest more radishes and lettuce.   It's amazing how much they get used.

This week I've made yogurt, froze bananas that were getting over-ripe, and hung clothes to dry when possible.  I grilled out enough yesterday for two more days (saving time and money on energy).

Instead of eating out at a restaurant one busy day we bought a chicken at Sam's.   We spent $4.99 and had enough for two meals and enough to put on a salad.

We were able to go to a few garage and estate sales in between rains.   Here are some of the things we bought for the grandchildren.

The Nike shoes were a $1.00.   T shirt, pants, and jacket $1.50

Wonderful Grandson's bike for next year $5.00!   He is getting so good at riding his bike. He is also growing fast so we know he will be using this by next year.

My spending limit for clothes usually is $1.00 but when I saw this dress for $7.00 I knew I had to have it.   I asked her to come down to $5.00 and she did.  The beautiful granddaughter will be so pretty in it.

Total spent on grandchildren $12.50.  We also bought tools (husband always needs them), two big blue mason jars ($2.00 ea), and T-shirts for husband.

What ways have you saved this week?
