It's been a long season and you would think that the garden was over. We are still being blessed though with the Fall garden. I was amazed to find 7 green peppers to pick last night in our garden.
To freeze peppers I just core, seed, and slice then put in a freezer bag. My little secret is that I do not blanch first. Don't tell anyone.
It's turning a bit chilly in our neck of the woods and I hope we don't have a frost. I'm hoping our little row of beets has more time to grow.
This last row of beets was hidden in some weeds and the groundhog never found them. Of course that just might explain why they took so long to grow!
What little rain we got yesterday seemed to get the mustard greens growing again. I love looking at that sea of green in the garden.
My plan is to pick greens on Friday night and then can Saturday morning. My Friday night date.
Is your garden still growing?
