My Menu this Past Week 2/6/16

I had to laugh on Monday when the husband insisted we have Chinese take out. He made sure to order the Mandarin Chicken because it has lots of onions and he said it would wipe out my cold. Let me just say he loves Chinese. Well the cold was gone completely in a couple of days but I think the cold medicine might had helped a little too!

We have been using our garden canned goods a lot.  The stew was made with canned tomatoes and green beans.  The peppers in the stew were frozen from the garden.  They were used in both the stew and the chicken and bacon croissant ring. It's so nice just to go to the canning shelf and get what I need.

Our menu changes frequently in my home with use of leftovers, garden produce, deals, or special occasions that come up. With that in mind I have decided to tell you what we have had this past week instead of what I have planned ahead.

Sunday          Roast with all the fixings

Monday         Chinese take out

Tuesday         Stew (made with leftover roast)

Wednesday   Rotisserie chicken from Sam's

Thursday       Chicken (leftover chicken) and bacon croissant ring (tried out a new recipe I made up that everyone liked- when I make it again I will post it)

Friday            Spaghetti w/garlic bread

Saturday       Chicken Parmesan Pasta Bake (a recipe from a new cookbook I'm reviewing Prep Ahead Meals from Scratch)

What was on your menu?
