My fruit basket is also my favorite place to dry my plastic bags! |
We broke our No Spend January a couple of hours early last night to go to Aldi to buy some oranges. I have a cold and husband wants me to eat more citrus. So we stocked up on oranges (4 lbs for $1.89), Red Delicious Apples (5 lb for $1.19), and Red Potatoes (5 lb for $1.09). We also bought milk (gallon for $1.69) and butter.
With No spend January over we are planning our strategy today. I didn't save quite enough for our bedroom makeover so we are doing a low spend February! We will up the grocery bill budget $20 to make it $60 a week. So today's goal is to shop for the week and kind of stock up a little but still watch our grocery bill. We are headed to Sam's next - that can be a dangerous place.
I'd like to blame the lack of bible reading on my cold but I can't. There was just no excuse...I plan to get with it this week and get working on those priority goals. They are both important.
Here is what I accomplished this past week:
Read the Bible more! A couple of times.
Watching my diet! This is very hard!
Write a Book review. I reviewed Promise Lodge by Charlotte Hubbard
