My Frugal Ways this Past week,What Was On the Dinner table and My Goals for the Week 7/3/16

Last week was one of those weeks that I'm thankful I'm frugal so I can give and not worry about it. That's what it is all about right? Here though are the ways I was frugal around the edges:

I harvested zucchinis and made Zucchini bread yesterday.  I made them in a small loaf pan and  froze the extras.   I also froze some sugar cookie dough ahead. I've been wanting to make sugar cookies with the grandson and it will be simple to just thaw out the dough before he comes over.

We went on a picnic for the 4th of July and we made sure to bring extra meat to put on the grill for another meal. I used leftover mashed potatoes to go in the potato salad.

My oldest daughter's birthday was last week. Although we had already given her a gift a month ago, I still wanted to give her a little something more to open on her birthday.  I made up a box with dish clothes and scrubbies that I had crocheted and tied them with a bow, a free photo book (had to pay shipping), and a $5.00 Burger King gift card I got from Swagbucks (along with the Bk coupons we got in the mail),   Her card came from a box of cards I bought at a flea market.  Her cupcakes were from the 4th of July picnic that I had frozen and then thawed.  She seemed very pleased with it all! Such a sweet daughter.

I hung out a few loads of clothes to dry.
