My Frugal Ways this Past Week 11/20/16

We built a fire last night to help keep the house warm!

Winter came to Michigan yesterday (Saturday) and we made our first fire of the season in the fireplace last night.  We went from a balmy 70 some odd degrees on Friday to a high wind with snow (just a dusting) on Saturday.  I'm in my slippers and heavy housecoat this morning trying to stay warm with this drastic change!  We knew it was coming though.

I ordered two bible study booklets with my points for free from Tyndale Rewards.

I made enough chicken on Monday to last three days for dinner.

I made two big pans full of rice in the oven  (how to video is on my review).  Enough to freeze for meals for awhile.

I made a birthday cake ahead of time and froze it.

This morning I made two loaves of french bread so I can try a recipe I saw on Facebook for cheesy crack bread.  I left the oven open a crack after they were done to get more warm air in the kitchen (the grandchildren are not here).

I ordered from Grove Collabrative    I like them because they are all natural and their prices are great. I'm finding out though which products I love the best and my order reflects that.  We still have facial tissue left and I won't order that again because it's too hard on our noses!  It's good to use as napkins though.   If you would like to try their company you get $10 off your first purchase (you must spend $20).

1 Method toilet cleaner
1 Green forest bathroom tissue
3 Bon Ami Powder Cleanser
Total $21.45
