I last updated my goals in April! Well it's amazing how much it looks like you have accomplished when you just wait a little while to update! There is just so much more to report!
My #1 goal is to be the best wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt I can.
I keep striving to do the best I can. These two wonderful grandchildren are so much fun. They just bring joy to our lives and we love it when we watch them.
2. Volunteer
July Update: I started volunteering at the senior citizen garden. I go there once a week to weed and harvest. It ends up being an average of about 3 or 4 hours a week. I also answer gardening questions at the Farmers Market when I'm scheduled.
It's really not that many hours but to be truthful there are days when I wish it would rain. I know that's not very giving of me but I think I have so many other things I could be doing. Then I make myself go and I end up having a good time of helping people. It lifts my spirit as I hope it does theirs. There is nothing like volunteering your time and labor.
3. Get healthier. Eat better, exercise more! It's a struggle and I almost didn't put this one on this year. I kept trying last year but nothing stuck. This is my hardest goal. I'm not going to give up!
July Update: I've lost 10 pounds and kept it off for two months! Not a lot but that's 10 pounds that's not there anymore! Lately, again though I feel like I've lost my way. I hope to get back on the bandwagon starting today. I found my hardest times are the days; Mothers day, Fathers day, birthdays, Memorial day, Fourth of July day (ok I totally made that a day), etc. It takes me a week to get over a bad cheat day. Yep, I'm a terrible cheater.
4. Improve where we live. Remodel the house a little (our bedroom needs
July Update: We planted fruit trees the last of May. I also received a peach tree from my friend just last week.
5. Make more Christmas gifts, birthday gifts, etc and have them ready for giving.
July Update: I had completely let this go until I started the 100 day challenge from Patsy's blog, The Working Pantry. It's good for me because it goes along with my secret way I get things done. So far this week I've found the pattern I had (that took 10 minutes-seriously), cut the pattern out, and then cut out the fabric.
6. Keep improving this blog. Take more blogging classes and put the lessons learned into action. Last year I came close to doubling my page views. I would love to increase them again this next year. I have some great readers on this blog and I want to make it a great place to visit. I'm so blessed and thankful for each and everyone of you!
July Update: I'm loving my new schedule and hope you are too. Sometimes I share Free Amazon books on my Facebook page through the week. I hope to find a more reliable schedule for that soon.
