My Last Yearly Goals Update for 2017!
I've not posted these yearly goals monthly like I thought I would. They have ended up quarterly which is kind of good. It ends up looking like I've accomplished more things this way!
So here we go the last update for my goals in 2017, for better or worse!
My #1 goal is to be the best wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt I can.
December & Year End Update: I totally missed one of my favorite nieces when she came into town this past Fall. Gosh, I still think how I got it all wrong. You know how those things play in your mind over and over (how do you make them stop?). Hopefully she will give me another try when she comes again.
December & Year End Update: I volunteered some at a indoor school garden in the Fall. Overall I've volunteered over 30 hours this year. Impressive to me because I never volunteered much outside of church before but my hope is to do more.
3. Get healthier. Eat better, exercise more! It's a struggle and I almost didn't put this one on this year. I kept trying last year but nothing stuck. This is my hardest goal. I'm not going to give up!
December & Year End Update: I've lost a total of 12 pounds this year and kept if off. Not the fantastic outcome that I hoped. Yet it's 12 pounds that I don't have anymore so I'm going to keep going! I mostly forgot about the exercise...
4. Improve where we live. Remodel the house a little (our bedroom needs a little a lot of TLC and we need a new screen door). Spring clean, touch up paint, and plant some fruit trees in the Spring. (bedroom is done).
December & Year End Update: We accomplished everything (bedroom, paint, and fruit trees) but the screen door. The bedroom did take up most of the remodeling money we had saved for this past year. We will hopefully update the porch and screen door in 2018. It will be #1 on the list!
5. Make more Christmas gifts, birthday gifts, etc and have them ready for giving.
December & Year End Update: I made two Pillow/quilts this past month for friends. I also made a clothes pin bag to barter. I did manage to do a few crafts this year but not as much as I hoped. I find I need to do most of my sewing and crafting in the winter after Christmas. So I'll try again next year. Planning and time management is key!
6. Keep improving this blog. Take more blogging classes and put the lessons learned into action. Last year I came close to doubling my page views. I would love to increase them again this next year. I have some great readers on this blog and I want to make it a great place to visit. I'm so blessed and thankful for each and everyone of you!
December & Year End Update: Yeah well, sometimes that didn't go so well. Life got crazy busy and wild this year but it's all settled down for now. I love my readers and again I'm so blessed by each one of you! I'm so glad you put up with me!
How did your goals finish up this year?
