Here are the some of the ways we've saved this past couple of weeks:

We have had some beautiful days of sunshine and warmth (up to 60 degrees) mixed with some days of cold and snow. Maybe, just maybe, winter is on it's last leg. On the warm days we flew outside to take the grand kids to the park, picked up trash in the yard, vacuumed cleaned the vehicles, and put up this Arbor we found at a moving sale for $20.  I can just imagine a Honeysuckle vine growing up and around it this summer.

We also temporarily installed my Mother's Screen Door that was stored in her garage. There has been a bit of discussion about it because, let me tell you, this door has grown on both of us. It has such great character in the midst of all the plain Jane doors plus. well you know, it was my Mom's.  Part of our remodeling this year was to make this door opening bigger and to get rid of  the side lights.  Now though I'm hoping we may remodel around this door...

Renewed my library book online

Used large bags from JC Penny for the trash

I made some homemade bread from a recipe on found online and everyone just loved it.  It was the most flavorful bread I have ever made and it was so easy to make.

I paid my Set TV bill six months ahead and saved $10.00

I've been sewing, crocheting, and working on greeting cards.

We decided to have our computer fixed instead of buying a new one. They installed a hard drive and saved all my photos and files.  The repair cost was $160.00 and well worth it!  A fraction of the cost of buying a new one.

I have winter sown 7 milk jugs with two different types of lettuce, marigolds, and beets.

My goals for This Week:

I have cleaned out the closets and organized in both the guest room and the computer/sewing room.  I need to finish with cleaning the curtains and blinds then washing the walls.

Winter sew two more milk jugs.

What are the ways you've saved this past week?
