I look out in my garden and I see so many dinners and side dishes when everything finally comes in. There are cabbage rolls, zucchini and spaghetti squash for spaghetti, Hamburger stew and chili with the tomatoes, pickled beets, salads, pumpkin chili (daughter's recipe), stuffed peppers, green beans, and so much more. I can make a dinner out of green beans. Now I wish everything would ripen (but not all at once).
We did plant one thing that's not on our diet, russet potatoes. Now we have something to give the neighbor! He is always bringing us something from his garden that we don't grow and now I have something to return to him. I hope he eats potatoes!
We stopped at a roadside stand yesterday and bought 3 zucchini for $1.00. This will do for a couple of days until mine get big enough. You know that won't take long!
Monday Leftovers (we had chicken lasagna & salad yesterday)
Tuesday Spaghetti with zucchini noodles
Wednesday Hot dogs and sauerkraut
Thursday Grilled Rosemary Pork Chops, Mustard greens, sweet potatoes
Friday Leftovers
Saturday Out to eat
Sunday Baked Chicken, green beans, salad
