Flowers in the Gardens

We have went through a dry spell for the last little while but last night we received the best garden shower.   I was surprised as I went out this morning that it's still coming down in a gentle rain.  The air is cool and crisp.   I was getting a little wet but I wanted to show you what's blooming in the gardens this summer.

My Black-eyed Susan's are showing their beautiful yellow and black centers in the front garden.

The hollyhock's are directly behind the Susan's.   I love the old  fashioned flowers the best I think.

My climbing Clematis has a another bloom!  That makes two for this first year vine!

After a bout with aphids my roses are blooming again.   I love smelling these as I walk by.

Back to the vegetable garden where I'm growing Astors.  I picked a bouquet and set them on the table one day, only to discover ants.  I'll just love them in the garden from now on.

The zinnias are blooming!   These are my favorite picking flower for bouquets.  There are plenty of blooms and no ants!

After replanting twice I decided on filling the bike pots with fake flowers yesterday.   Do you think people will know?
