Citizens of Logan Pond: a Post-Apocalyptic Dystopian Series by

The economy crashed, the country is floundering, and Carrie Ashworth struggles to keep her siblings alive. She has two jobs in her newly-formed, newly-outlawed clan: grow crops to feed thirty-six people and maintain contact with Oliver Simmons, their local patrolman. Carrie’s life is almost content when Greg Pierce shows up. A man with the ambition to help them survive.

A man determined to hate her.

Citizens of Logan Pond is a dystopian trilogy that follows Carrie and her family's fight to survive in a financially collapsed America. Within the confines of their small neighborhood, the people of Logan Pond must pull together to hide from the oppressive government. But when Greg Pierce shows up, he threatens to destroy the clan's delicate balance--or to save them.

This series has heart-pounding, page-turning suspense that is "all too real," a clean romance that is sure to leave you wondering:

What price would you pay for your life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness?

PRAISE FOR LIFE: "A powerful, realistic story about life and love and the resilience of the human spirit. Just the right mix of action, drama, and romance." - Readers' Favorite

PRAISE FOR LIBERTY: "A piece that should be required reading for young and old alike." - In D'tale Magazine

PRAISE FOR THE PURSUIT: "An amazing series. These characters have jumped off the pages, coming to life for me. I feel like they are real friends (and enemies) and this thrilling conclusion is perfect." - Katie's Clean Book Collection

My Thoughts:

This book is a page turner plus a stay up all nighter.  The circumstances that led up to the downfall felt so real and described so perfectly, that I know that they could definitely come true.  We never know what will happen and we should be prepared.

I love that I could read one book after another in this series.  I had to know what and how it happened and it was good not to wait.  Although bad things happened in this book I was never depressed too long because they never lost hope for the future.  Full of action and romance, Citizens of Logan Pond kept me interested till the end.

The characters were so well described that I felt like I knew some of them by the end.  I especially admired Carrie because of her love for everyone and the way she made sure her family were protected.  She didn't let her circumstances make her angry.

This is listed as Christian, and I admired most of the characters because they tried to live right, Christianity though was barely mentioned.  That's the only downfall I had with this great read.  Well, worth the read though!
