It took three times going over to my daughters before I finally remembered to get the sauerkraut in her basement. Got it this morning just in time for Reuben sandwiches today. It stays nice and cool in her basement pantry. Without a basement or cellar it can get too hot here to keep.
I'm not really sure I like those green canning jars so much when I fill them with kraut. Kind of look like Kraut has something wrong with it ha ha. All is good though and the sandwiches will be great today.
Yesterday was a new beginning on our low carb diet. I'm going back to one cheat meal a week which seemed to work great for us before. He is on board again, thank goodness. I will eat everything he does, so I'm glad. Never give up I guess.
Monday Reuben Sandwiches (with low carb bread) and leftover baked beans
Tuesday Chili (made with leftover hamburgers)
Wednesday Ham and cheese omelets
Thursday Pork Chops (just fried down brown), sweet potato fries, and coleslaw
Friday Turkey and Dumplings (turkey that was frozen from last turkey dinner-cheat meal)
Saturday Spaghetti (grandkids will be here-spaghetti squash for us)
Sunday Out to eat with grandkids- where ever we go I'm going to be good
