My thoughts:
What is happening in our world right now can be very upsetting for everyone.  We are listening to every word any one has to say on the corona virus, sometimes leaving us virtually paralyzed at times with fear.  I myself, have found that I'm skipping from one news channel to another and from one youtube channel to another, to find out more. Then watching the stock market ticker go down ..well that can be another nightmare for some.

Yesterday, instead of stressing so much, I watched how to plant potatoes (I know how but there are a dozen different ways on youtube), dumpster diving (no I just can't do it but it's amazing to watch), and then last night I read the Free Jean Kuhnke book this week, My Promise.   Her books are novellas and are so inspiring.  You can read one and be taken away in no time.

Putting your mind to reading books (including the Bible) can be so hard when you are stressed.  If you are finding it hard start with small, easy, inspiring and uplifting books and then read some Bible Verses that have you putting all your cares to him.

This morning I was discussing the virus again on Facebook..so it's a battle.  I want to stay informed but not let it take over.  I heard Frugal Momma (youtuber) say, "who doesn't love a good panic?"   That is so true!
Aww well, on to the Free books for today.

Our daughter's family are missionaries in Europe. They had 6 possible cases in their city this week. Scary times. They all tested negative in the end. They are getting much better and reliable information there than we are here. They are preparing to shelter in place if they are told to do so. The government and media there are much more calm and forthcoming about what to do and expect and they are not getting all the conflicting information that we are. It won't take much to close the schools there.

Thank you for posting these books each morning. Your time and effort to do this is appreciated.
Two weeks ago I was visiting with my medical Doctor concerning the Coronavirus and the Influenza. Panic is being perpetrated, by the news agencies, concerning the Coronavirus. The media likes nothing more than to see how they can manipulate the public. Sadly, it has been going on for many years. I am 70 and can remember a time when news was news.
There are 14,000 people that have died, this year alone, from influenza in the U.S. Many of them had flu shots. Influenza is bad this year and much more commonly contagious than the Coronavirus.
I pray that people have wisely stocked up and prepared for any virus or situation that might happen in these days. Many blessings to you.

I love that they are telling the people just like it is. That's what we need too! Prayers for everyone's safety!

Stocking up is the key! If they haven't done it I hope they will get to it soon. We never know what might hit us here anymore.

I don’t usually fret about things but I’m very concerned about the coronavirus.

I guess I may the only person not in a panic? Surely not....but I don't watch news on tv at all. I stopped a few years ago & have not missed a thing but unnecessary drama. There is so much hype....a total waste of time.

My son watched an interview with the man in charge of the CDC & he said the journalist built it up before, during & after. The man from the CDC explained what they've been doing for years to prepare for this, what they've done during, & what they plan to do ect....all in response to the journalists grave, loaded questions. But the CDC spokesman said plainly that the risk is very low...he was only allowed to get that out once because the journalist fed fear into the interview. So no...I'm not worried about the virus.

My son also called his dad the day the stock market fell..he was a little worried & wanted to know what his dad thought about it. I half listened, I hadn't heard that much about it yet & wasn't worried. My husband calmly explained why he just needed to be patient & wait it out. I didn't follow closely enough to explain it.

We are much too easily led by fear.

Thanks so much for sharing more free books. I really appreciate all your work in finding them for us.

You know I quit news too Jenny, for the longest time. My husband has it on though so I will catch bits and pieces. This virus has got me watching, it's very serious.
We do need to know more though but it can consume my time sometimes trying to find out more. Like Rhonda, this one has me concerned. So I found other things to do yesterday and got away from it all.
My deepest wish is that we all don't have to panic or have any fear. I hope my suggestions to get away from it all and read great books help someone like me who maybe has had too much information lately!
