Frugal Friday -What we got Free this Week 2/7/20!

On one of our errands we stopped by an estate sale that was ready to close.   They told me to get what we wanted for free so that they wouldn't have to take so much to donate.   We picked up everything that we thought might be useful to us.

2 lamps
ice tea maker
paper towel holder
2 baskets
cake pan with lid
candy thermometer and other kitchen tools
spoon rest
coaster set
a box full of tools for husband
watering can
camera bag

That was the best time we had at an estate sale!

On Wednesday night we went trash picking and found a vacuum, hamper, and thermos.  I would take a picture but it's all still in the truck.  We are waiting for it to become Spring again before we take it out (we got a couple of inches of snow last night).

What great deals have you found this week?

There is nothing like shopping for free!

Yesterday was awful here. Multiple tornadoes touched down in our county and there is destruction everywhere. A friend lost the wall of her bedroom. Much of our county is without power and the schools are closed. We are fine here but I am pretty sure one went over our house midmorning without touching down. We had the loud roar and our house was just shaking. We were about to run for the bathroom when it stopped. It will be days before the the power is completely restored since many, many poles were snapped off at the ground.

How neat, Vickie. Looks like the iced tea maker came with an extra pitcher. That's great.

Oh my Lana! I'm so glad you're ok. I hope your back with power soon. Such a wild band of weather that went through. Stay safe.

It is fun that's for sure. I'm pretty sure we won't be going trash picking for awhile with the snow but we will get back to it when it melts. Have a great day!
