Contagion (2011)
Contagion (2011)- $3.99 to rent

If your brave this is a good movie to watch.  Listen everything in this movie is just what we are facing.  So weird that someone already thought of what might happen and made a movie.   Very believable and scary.

FYI:  Michigan has over 100 cases of Covid-19.

If you want to, leave a comment and let  me  know how everything is  going  in your neck of the woods.

It's a rainy day here to. We have severe weather- tornadoes, high wind, hail later in the day. I love it. I don't know when we get rain on the First Day of Spring it always makes me think the Spring will be beautiful.

Our school announced they are doing school lunches and breakfast. The kids will pick them up by curbside. We have a lot of school so this will be very convenient for many, especially in my old area where it is poverty level.

I home schooled for 23 years and somehow it always feels like everything you are saying is just going out into space and no one is paying attention. But if I asked them to tell me what I had been talking about they could parrot it all back to me. Also come summer they would talk about things they had learned during the school year and it just blew my mind that they even remembered. It is gray and drizzly here and a good day to just hang out and rest.

Well I hope they are paying attention to what they are learning on their computers. I'm trying to make sure.
Sounds like it's that way in many states Lana-grey and drizzly. yuck!

Is today really the first day of Spring? That's so nice.
So glad your area is doing lunches and breakfasts too! It is a blessing!

It is a grey day here in Toronto but mild - in fact it's going up into the 60'sF tomorrow but back down to freezing for the weekend.
The city is pretty much shut down - all public venues, entertainments etc. closed, all bars, cafes & restaurants doing are-away and delivery only. Malls are on limited hours but may just close soon as most major retailers are shutting for at least 2 weeks. Schools are closed until at least April 6 - but we suspect it may be longer and anyone who can work from home is doing so.
My office wrapped up on Tuesday morning and I won't be back until March 30th at the earliest but we suspect it won't be until April 13th - I work at a church office and we would normally have 3 to 4 hundred people at Easter service so simply not allowed.
It's a bit boring but I'm trying to do a lot of chores around my apt. while I have the time. I'll go out for a walk on the weekend - there is a large park across the road so I can walk without getting to close to anyone.
I hoppe hat everyone stays well.

It's good to hear from Canada ...you city sounds like its on the same time line as Michigan. I'm glad you can work from home and also get outside to walk.
Easter is going to be sad but there will be more in our future to make up for it. It's more important to stay well. Have a great d day Margie

We have sunshine in Va! I think we have 94 cases here with one child under 10.
I usually like disaster movies but think I will wait on that one.
Looks like fun games at recess.
Thanks for books. I like cozy mysteries and the gardening books sound good.

Mild here in southern MO but the humidity is high and we have a change of strong weather including tornadoes, so we'll see what the evening holds. We took today and tomorrow off of school just for a brief spring break and to do some focused relaxing, which is cleaning and decluttering for me :) Thank you again for the ebooks!

Oh no a child..that's very sad. Old maid was a lot of fun.
Hope you enjoy the books.

I'm glad you had some relaxing few days. I hope that bad weather passes you by tonight Jenny. Stay safe.

Grey, foggy, and drippy here in MN today. I drove a long way this morning to renew the registration on my truck, as many of the DVS offices have closed. They were only letting 5 people in at a time and there was a line out on the sidewalk. I should have taken care of it earlier.
The movie sounds like one we watched before. A really scary read is Deadstock by Kate Iola. I think everyone in the US should read that one!

I think we are all going to wish a few things were done before but you can't predict a pandemic.
I'm going to look for your book. Thanks for the suggestion.

I am definitely not watching the movie.

It poured rain here all last night & today. Our roads flooded, my daughter-in-law picked the grandkid up in a downpour. My husband drove through water to get home....we are so glad to all be home tonight.....then we had a glorious sunset letting us know the storms were all past.

I'm just home doing what I always do. I plan to venture out tomorrow to pick up a Walmart grocery order & go through the drive through pharmacy. I don't plan to get out of my car at all.

Vickie @Vickie's Kitchen and Garden said...

I don't blame you Jenny for not watching the movie..kind of wished that I hadn't watched it.
Let me tell you getting out is scary!
