We are back to having more fun at Grandmas. Yesterday I found a recipe for puff paint and was happy that I had everything I needed. That's important now because I'm not going to the store for the little things. I used tuna cans and a disposable cereal bowl for holding the paint and just threw it away afterwards.
The grand boy helped with the measuring and the grand girl loved the painting. I always teach the kids how to take a regular sized coffee cup and measure half the cup, three quarter of the cup etc. It really helps to bring home a lesson in fractions.
I found the recipe at the Kids Cooking Camp. It's free through today June 9. Lots of resources for fun at Grandmas or Mom's house.
Today though it's supposed to be hot so we are going to blow up the water splash thing the daughter ordered and cool off.

I'm definitely getting the I love Dinner cookbook. This way I can feed my cookbook love without leaving the house.:)
I love a different dinner too Belinda..So nice to have a supply of cookbooks!
Sounds like a fun day!!
Now I'm curious about that puff paint. I wonder if my college age kids would like making it. ;)
Thanks for the books. I got the fair food one since it doesn't look like we will be going to any fairs. I did hear that July 4th fireworks are still on, if we sit in the car and watch.
The cancelled the big fireworks display here. Very sad but probably for the best.
The county fair is going in August though. Not sure I'll be going.
The puff paint involved shaving cream and blue so they would love it haha!
