It rained really good last night my husband said. I was good and asleep, way past the point of caring but yet happy when he told me. It looks like rain again this morning. Yipee. We are getting some great garden rain! All the plants seemed to all grow a foot overnight.
Here is a little garden tour:
Not every tomato plant looks like this but I'm getting excited that someday in the future, I'll be having a real garden tomato. There is nothing like it.
The white half runner beans are well, running! They are also clinging to each other and anything else they can find. ha ha.
Listen, using the grass for mulch gave me allergies bad. I had some animal bedding stuff and decided to use that as mulch. It's just in these beans because like it's kind of expensive.
These beans that are growing up our teepes we made are called Rattlesnake. They are really starting to climb. I planted lettuce in the middle of each teepee yesterday.
All of lettuce that we have out there now has now bolted with the hot weather we've been having. So, I'm hoping the shade in the middle will grow us some great lettuce.
I'm not sure my onions are going to be huge but I'm so impressed so far. Most of them are way past the golf ball stage! Yipee!
You see that bent over green part of the onion in the middle? That's the part you need to break off right now. Just use your hands and break the green part just below the bent over part. They will stop growing if you don't.
How's your garden growing if you have one or just tell me about your neck of the woods.
