Going on our nightly drives during this pandemic has helped us figure which days are garbage days for our local neighborhoods. So, we get a drive and we pick up treasures beside the road. A ride with benefits! At first I freaked out about it of course but then I realized I sanitize everything..too death. So, in my head everything is good.
My husband has eagle eyes and he can spot things long before I can. He saw the cooler, backed up, and then told me to jump out and get that. Yep, he said just like that! I gave him my evil eye, he laughed, then I jumped out, and was rewarded with the biggest Coleman cooler we had ever seen!
Sometimes we come up empty. So, if nothing sparks our interest we've had a fun ride.

Your ride with benefits made me laugh.
Enjoy your new cooler. Looks great!
I don't think our local thrift store is taking donations yet, so we put the kids sandbox, ride on toys and basketball hoop out with a large free sign. They were gone within 30 min. :)
We have done that too Kathy. I love that people take it so quick.
you know it's going to a good home and not the dump!
What a great plan!
I took my grandson with me this morning to drop a load of donations off at Goodwill & take some things to my Sunday school classroom at my church. I haven't been to my classroom since February. I decided to take all of my posters & curriculum there because they take up so much room in my craft room. At this point, I may never go back & teach anyway. My husband & I had been talking about retiring from our class. I think it will be hard to go back now after all this time.
My grandson & I had a picnic in the car at Sonic. I think it was the first time just the two of us had gone out like that. He was so much fun & I needed the outing. I am so tired of being stuck at home 24/7.
I never thought about it but I guess it would be hard to go back. that's a hard decision for sure.
Sonic in the parking lot sounds like a lot of fun. So glad you got to get out!
