Yesterday, when I went out to the garage I remembered my Zinnia flower seeds. I had gather them all up after frost, then stick them in paper bag and put them in a basket to dry in the garage.  I grabbed them up and brought them in the house and  started to rub the blooms to get the seeds out.

About then the granddaughter walked in and starting helping me as she watched a show.  Yep, she already knows how to multi-task!

We quickly found out the purple flowers were really easy to get the seeds from and they had a lot.  We were rolling right along filling up the jar, then we just had enough of that activity, and moved on.  I decided just put the rest of flower heads in the jar and worry about that come Spring.  Ha ha!

I sometimes just save the heads. I have a few I want to separate the petals from the seeds & haven't gotten it done yet.

It's still raining here...four straight days of solid, heavy rain.
My dil went back to work so I have the grandson. My son is taking off until Sunday. He's better but still feeling pretty bad.

Today is my husband's last day for a week...not sure what kind of vacation he'll get with the grandson here all next week but it means I'll have an easier time.
