I've decided to call our adventure every year celebrating Fall.  We have our favorite spots up north to enjoy the colors of the season and it never fails to deliver.

This year we let the kids enjoy the many steps of Largo Springs.  We went hiking on level land.  Ha ha.

The steps turn and just keep going down for a total of about 300 steps.  They have nice benches throughout for when you think you are about to pass out on the way back up.

It's a magical place down there with falls and hills to climb.  The kids loved it.

The trip didn't go off without something happening, you know how that goes.  I lost my prescription glasses at the Bear Store.  After giving up on finding them we took off.  I couldn't imagine having to pay for them again.  This time insurance will not cover any of it.  We get a pair every 2 years.

Sunday I called the store and someone had found them.  Blessings you guys!  So we made a four hour round trip to see the colors again and pick them up.  Husband said we needed a drive anyway.  Yep that's why I keep him.  Of course he also said he was going to get me a eyeglass chain to go around my neck ha ha!

So, I'm good on Celebrating Fall this year!

Is it pretty in your neck of the woods?

I'm so glad you found your glasses! Your pictures are beautiful! We are just beginning to have some color on our hickory trees and dogwoods. We have at east two more weeks before peak color.

Oh the pictures are beautiful!
Makes me think of middle earth with the sun shining through the trees. A magical place for sure.
So glad you found your glasses. Glad you were able to enjoy the drive twice.
We are getting Delta rain so the leaves are falling before their peak. Hoping we can go on a drive on the blue ridge parkway this weekend.

I recommend the chain. It is so helpful. I get frustrated using mine because I have to put them on when I shop to read labels but I can't see otherwise if I keep them on. Mine are just readers though, not prescription.

The colors here are gorgeous. I took my grandson to a local trail this morning. A very short easy trail about a mile out & back I think. I took lots of pictures with him & he was so sweet.

I'm hoping yesterday was the last day we'll need the ac.

Hi Vickie-Your hubby is a keeper! We live in Northern Wisconsin and many of the trees are bear already. Winter is coming :(. But the colors have been beautiful here this fall. Enjoy your week!

Sounds like you had a beautiful fall too! It goes by fast though. They say snow this weekend...her winter is coming.

Oh I bet those pictures are adorable. You had on the a.c. And we already turned on the furnace ha ha. Such a difference!

Thanks for the suggestion of the chain. I have readers and end up leaving them all around the house. It would also be good when I am out and about, although that doesn't happen as often these days. The trail you went on sounds gorgeous! We're still using the AC, too, and have to drive a couple hours to see fall leaves.
