It was cold, windy, and sometimes rainy Saturday so we decided to go for a ride.  We are wimps and did not want to go for a nature walk.  I mean what if we got wet?  ha ha

The colors though still were beautiful on the trees, so we were happy.  Then I saw a lady put out a garage sale sign. Whoohoo, be still our hearts.

We actually found 3 garage sales on the way.  Garage sales in October are always a nice surprise.

At one sale, I was excited  to find very large peppers for 10 for $2.50.  My freezer bag now is full and my dehydrator is running full blast this morning!

I also found a brand new wallet at the next sale for $1.00.  Mine is still in good condition so I'm going to put this back for later.  It's always good to think ahead on these things.

Husband found some tools of course and a jack knife for grandsons collection.

How's it going in your neck of the woods?

Hey I am all for staying warm and dry, too! And what if this old body slips in some mud? Not good. What a buy on those peppers! I would have snapped up the wallet, too. We are expecting a warm sunny week but next week the weather changes and we will know for sure it is fall.

Yes the weather is wobbling back and forth here too. So different from last year's warm Fall. We just never know, do we Lana, what the weather will be like. Enjoy your sunshine while it lasts.

Hubby told me last night I was going to have a bad week, then said dreary skies, cool and wet for the whole week... Yep that sure triggers this old body

We're still having yard sales here too but I am such a homebody. I'll be out a little this Friday so maybe I'll stop at some.

It's a cold rainy Monday here...yeah for rain! I'm cleaning my ovens & freezer. Enjoying a day at with the whole house all to myself. Such a treat. I plan to veg out in front of the tv this afternoon.

Aww so sorry..I've noticed that too with the cold and wet. There are aches were I've never had them before. I hope you feel better and it doesn't hurt so bad this time.

That sounds so peaceful to veg out in front of the tv..I hope you get to watch all of what you've been waiting on.
Freezer needs to get done this week..on the list! Thanks for the reminder.

Glad you were able to enjoy your ride and leaves. Great yard sale finds too.
It was beautiful weather here, and I got to go on a drive on the parkway to Mabry mill. It was a lovely day!

I told my husband to stop telling me things like that! He was constantly telling me that I was in pain. Well the old brain believes things like that and once he stopped I was in much less pain. Sometimes he needs a reminder but mostly does not say that to me anymore and it has helped a lot.

I just watched a YouTube video on Mabry mill. What a beautiful place..so glad you got a chance to visit!

We couldn't believe it either..weird at the end of October!

So true...We can ignore the pain as long as no one says anything about it.
