The garden is officially over when every tomato cage and pole is taken up and then the husband runs over it with a lawn mower.  Now it's time to rake the fallen leaves on top.

What to do now?  This is the time I put my effort into crocheting, embordering, and Fall cleaning.  I get a break from working in the garden and I actually love it ...till about March then I start going a little garden crazy.

How's it going in your neck of the woods?

Looks good! Enjoy your gardening break! Were the grands able to grow a pumpkin from their plants?
It will be a nice day here, so I am going to do some outdoor chores too. Painting can wait but the nice weather won't last. Have a great weekend

We ended up with about 14 pumpkins total. The vines intertwined and they couldn't tell whose was whose. They were small but we're pretty for decorations.
It's 70 degrees this morning here..painting is waiting here too.

Hi Vickie, I just wanted to let you know I got your grandson's journal in the mail yesterday. It's coming book rate so may be a bit slower. I hope he enjoys it. Elaine

We are the same here. The garden plants are all done and will be pulled up today.

It's kind of sad isn't Lana?

Thanks so much...he has had to read other books while he is waiting for the newest release to come to our door. I'm know that he will love it!

It looks so good. Did you have any green tomatoes when you cleaned it up? I still have so many. We're expecting 32' on Monday night so I'm going to pull mine up this weekend.

Yes we had a basket full when we pulled ours up a little over a month ago. I wrap them in newspapers and this past week we ate the last of our green turned ripe tomatoes. I'm going to miss them! Here is the link to when I had to get busy!

Do you wrap yours in newspaper too?
Don't work too hard and have a great weekend.

My Dad will wrap his tomatoes and try to get them to last as long as he can too. Fourteen pumpkins is great. Your grandchildren must have been so proud of them. I know I would have been.

They had a lot of fun picking pumpkins! You know I learned about newspaper wrapping from my mom...They were smart!
