I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day!  We traded days with part of the family so it was deceided we would celebrate Thanksgiving today.  It's not the day that we celebrate really it's the thankfulness.  Right?

The turkey with cornbread stuffing is in the oven, the shuck beans are cooking, apple pie, pumpkin roll, and rice krispie treats are on the table.  I'm getting there!

How did your celebration go?

Oh, I like that bird feeder, Vickie. I may have to get an early Christmas present for myself.

Yes I fell in love with that feeder too. I wonder if it really works. That would be so nice!

We had great weather for our Thanksgiving bonfire. I walked the trails in the dark with my grandson down to the water to look for beavers. We didn't see any but we were pretty noisy & we decided to throw rocks. It was a simple, easy celebration & something my son wants to do again.

I did get all the yummy traditional foods though. My daughter-in-law messaged me mid-day & asked if I'd like some leftovers from her mom's meal (they had a small get together with just her mom & grandpa). I asked for a 'very small sampling' She brought three take out plates full plus a large piece of cake. It's all be so good.

Wishing you a happy Thanksgiving!

Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving.
We had the four of us, plus mother in law. A scaled down gathering, but I'm so tired. Glad I won't have to cook again tomorrow.
Thanks for the thermometer idea since dh likes to grill/smoke. Hopefully you will get a little credit.
Have a great weekend.

I'm exhausted too! Glad you had a great Thanksgiving and thanks for buying the thermometer under my link. I think they really help with grilling/smoking. I get a little credit for that!
Have a great day!

I cannot say how lucky I am with my daughter-in-law. She really is such a dear & we get a long so well. You can take a peek at her if you'd like...she has a baking business. Her FB page is Leah Lou's cookies. Honestly, I'm as proud of her & love as if she were my own true daughter...& I really like her family too. They've taken us in as their own as well.
