I voted by mail!

Yes, well actually I went to the secure drop box at my city hall and put it in about 2 weeks ago.  My oldest daughter put hers in about a month ago.

Before we go on let me give you just a little tidbit:  Did you know that Michigan now has 4,000 or more cases of covid every day...every single day.  I can't keep up with the deaths.  For you out of country people this is just our state, one out of 50!  Covid is running rampant here ...not sure where you live. Covid has not magically disappeared and it does not care who you are.

So, me and my family, for what we considered safety reasons, all sit down at the table and voted.  It was a voting party.  Too bad it was so quick and only took a minute.

In Michigan, they count the walk in votes first then the mail in votes.  So, of course, the mail in votes count came in last.

I want my vote counted, people.  Yep, the military has been doing this for years and my Mom who was too disabled to get out, did this also the last few years of her life.  As a matter of fact, many presidents have also done this.  No fraud at all and they always counted before.

So, fact check everything before you post and think about why some of us decided to vote by mail.  By the way, you might want to make sure your information is up to date and it's from a reliable source.

Try to be calm during this process in the wild year we are having.  We will know soon who our next president is (I hope).

Whew, I'm done now and that's as political as I get.

I'm glad you voted! I pray all the votes are counted.
Wow, 4000 covid cases a day. I surely don't blame you for voting by mail.

We voted early. Here in Ohio looking at over 4000 a day. They are talking of shutting the schools down again because of it even though tracing is saying it's family and friends get togethers not bars restaurants etc.We actually have family down with it and the wife was livid she couldn't get the same meds at Trump.

I'm thinking school can not last much longer here. They only to two days a week but they already are reporting covi d cases. Hope your family recovers quickly ..sad they couldn't get Trumps meds.

I voted by mail too due to Covid. And I want my vote to count. I had it in by October 15th, so It was counted.

We also voted by mail. With my husband's brain injury he is disabled so he qualified and as his care giver I voted by mail as well. We did check a few days later to be sure they had been received and scanned into the system but after that we do not know. Thankfully our state was called early but I can only imagine how you feel with not knowing how yours went and the uncertainty of everything. We just keep praying and handing our worries back to God since we don't know anything else to do.

Our cases are actually down here from a week or ten days ago. Some of my family had viral pneumonia which was not covid related at all but has me wondering if there are misdiagnoses going on. The common cold is also rampant here and that is a coronavirus which has made me wonder if the common cold can show up as a positive Covid-19 test. I continue to be glad that my husband and I have already had it without any big problems and are now immune. Our daughter's family in Germany are on severe lockdown again as of yesterday. Anyway lots of rambling and no answers.

That is interesting about the meds since we do know that a mother in our church had those drugs in the hospital and has recovered. It was really scary for her family for awhile.

I did in person early voting. It was super easy too & very well done.

Do you know the recovery numbers for covid in your area? I really think that keeps it in better perspective. The death numbers are going down in our state even though there are still a lot of new cases. People are learning how to stay well, drs know more about what to do ect.
Focus on current numbers...not total for the year & focus on the number recovered & the percentage of current cases in the hospital. This seems to help me not feel so overwhelmed with fear.

Our cases are skyrocketing. It is scary. Many people don't wear masks, they walk into store with one but take it off once inside. It's crazy. All we can do as individuals is wear a mask, wash hands nd social distance but not much done like that in Northern Wisconsin.
We voted by mail too, and hope all ballots get counted. To me, it seams like we are on a tilt-a-whirl, we are off our axis. Maybe if we all work together, be smart and kind with empathy and understanding we can get ourselves right again.

Yes mail in votes need to be counted!

I so wish there were answers! I'll be so happy when things are back to normal and we all get better.

We thought about early in person voting...We may do that next time.

so true, Kindness and caring needs to be on the main menu again then maybe our axis will tilt back in place.

They just announced yesterday we would have 100 deaths a day in Michigan if this trend continues. Not good at all.

I don't blame you for voting by mail but they should have a more secure system so that fraud is not so easy. Read a little deeper and don't just trust your regular news outlets about the fraud. We need to make sure Americans are protected and that our vote is too. There is evidence that this is not happening in the U.S. Check out Brietbart and NEWSMAX.
