They say it's going to be near 70 degrees here in Michigan today!  It's been warm like this for quite a few days.  We were outside and little granddaughter looked at me and said, "so is Winter over now?"  She hates it when I laugh at her so I'm just smiled and said, how I wish!

So, we are getting out today and getting away from the news.  Yep, I don't know about you but I'm done.  I need a break..a big one.  I'm thinking about hiking in the woods somewhere (in the back of my mind though there is still that stupid freezer in the garage that still needs to be defrosted). But you know that freezer can wait, we are getting out of the house.  I've already done a lot of work at 8:30 in the morning.

So far this morning I have:

Washed and dried a load a clothes.

Made up two beds.

Made tea and lemonade.

Took out the trash and put the used coffee grounds in the raised bed.

Cleaned the bathroom.

Listed free books in different FB groups.

I know that some of you have probably done so much more and with children no doubt.  So, get what you have to do done and get outside to enjoy the day, if it's nice like here.  I'm going to take my own advice after I sweep and mop the floor.

It is crazy warm here too and it is supposed to be that way for the next eight days. We even took the overwintering plants back out of the garage. Have fun today! We ARE defrosting the stupid freezer. I will be so glad we did it.

I would love to be outside but since we haven't had a good, long period of below freezing temps, my fall allergies are still acting up. So inside I stay. You know we are going to "pay" in January for these lovely November temps. Ann

ok I'm rolling out my baskets and doing that stupid freezer pretty soon. We decided to go hiking tomorrow and grill out today. We did go to an estate sale and had a great time.
Poor plants don't know what to do!

Oh man sorry about your allergies...
January will probably be brutal.

It is done! What a relief to have that off our list!

I did it! Thanks for the get up and go boost...truthfully I think I that is my worst job to do. The kids get in there and get an Ice cream while they are outside. We've caught the door open a few times and I believe that led to the big ice build up.

I spent some time outside yesterday and this morning on the back porch with the cats. The weather is nice here. I did watch more news than usual yesterday, but will be glad when all of that settles down.

I am not following the news...I think I've said that before. But I have been asking my husband questions because I know he'll give me only direct answers with no drama...'Are they still counting votes? Has the president conceded? Has Biden declared victory?' Yes. No. No. are his answers.

He reminded me this morning that Al Gore did not concede until December 15th in 2000 so I expect it will go that long unless there are some major mistakes found in the recounts. There is nothing I can do about at this point so why follow media speculation & drama? Charlie, my husband, also says that the media is foolish to publish declarations when there are so many questions about illegal voting...that those questions need to be answered if we are going to have faith in the system going forward. Thankfully both candidates are holding back & giving the authorities time to figure it out before conceding or declaring a victory themselves. I wish the people & the media would pull back & make sure they know what they're talking about as well.

Goodness...that's the most I've said about politics in years! But hopefully it's calming words for you & not stressful words.

I say let your freezer go until spring. Clean it out just before you need it again for garden produce. Maybe grab a trash bag & toss things you know have gone bad then just let the rest go. ...well, unless you really need more space for the holidays? I'm trying to get you off the hook!

I'm doing nothing today. It's Sunday. I haven't been to church since Feb & Sundays just weigh me down being at home & not seeing all my friends. Charlie & I will walk in the woods...we do every day now...& I'll cook a tasty supper.

We took a walk in the woods today and just loved it. I gathered up strength yesterday and defrosted that freezer while it was warm.
I'm ready for things to calm down now too and for the virus to be over!

Oh back porch sitting is the best! I hope all is calm soon.
