Explaining Friday

I explained Friday to the youngest granddaughter, who by the way is so over this virtual school, yesterday.  She just smiled. That made her morning.  She is already a weekend lover.  You know, it's hard for these little people to be at the computer for their lessons all day.  Not the teachers fault at all but it's the circumstances fault.

I've been keeping track of the numbers and I'm so sad that this virus just keeps getting worse.  Michigan is not doing good.  Numbers are way up but really the whole U.S. just looks terrible.  I know I'm not telling you something you don't already know.   I just had to let it out, you know.

By the way, I fixed the emails for Vickie's Kitchen and Garden.  So proud of myself.   I promise to keep on top of it better.

Poor kiddoes :( I read a comment yesterday on Instagram where a mom says that her school has a swimming class when school is in session & for virtual school, her son has to put his head in a bucket of water for swim class while she watches! Has the whole world gone crazy!? I wanted to roll laughing over that but seriously....how much better some free time would be for these kids.

We're all well here. I'm hearing of people who have come down with covid because they went to family celebrations over Thanksgiving. I am so grateful my son & his family did not get together with her uncle's family. Her uncle is recovered but I didn't think enough time had passed to be sure the rest of the family did not catch it.

I'm just enjoying my time with my grandson. He is so super excited about everything Christmas.

Hi Vickie-All is good here. We are staying home, we are all set with everything and really don't need to go out for a couple of weeks. I am grateful to be able to do that. Virus numbers are awful in Wisconsin.

n am so happy I'm now back on the list. It has been a rough past two months sick, sick and sick. No snow on the ground here in Wisconsin, yet we have had a few snow flacks. Have been making a lot of soups and freezer meals. So when it gets really cold all we have to do is reheat and enjoy. That way I don't have to get up and out of my chair.

oh no tealady I'm so sorry you have been sick. Such a wise to make ahead like that! Your food will be healthier and cheaper too! Rest and take it easy!

That's the craziest thing I ever heard! I wonder how that helps? So the grandboy though does take recorder lessons in Music. Love that but swimming lessons...
I'm so glad your son and his wife prevailed and didn't go to the Thanksgiving dinner. There are hard decisions that have to be made but I'm so glad they made the right one.
We needed Christmas I think this year more than ever. To see it through the eyes of a child makes it so special.

Congratulations Melissa on your new book. It's sounds delightful!
Have a wonderful weekend too!

I assume the water thing is to teach them to breath under water? But what if a kid drowns? Who is liable? In trying to make things 'normal' we've definitely gone way overboard.
