It just seems like yesterday, that one of my granddaughter's favorite past times was to dress up in a ballerina costume. I think that time has past for her but when do you know for sure though?

I'm often confused about when it's time to get rid of something.  You see, I think she has outgrown things so I put them out to the curb. Then, I've actually watched her go to the to the trash in a huff to bring things back!   In the last six months she has dragged back a bear, bike, and table.  We try to get it out to the curb while she is not here but a lot of times that doesn't happen.  She may be small but she sure can articulate just how much she is disappointed in me.

My only hope is that she outgrows these outfits soon and then I can donate without worry!

How's it going in your neck of the woods?

I'm participating in the Friday Five's (using the words, costume, articulate, confuse, favorite)

Awww I bet she is beautiful in her ballerina dress! So pretty! Yeah, I would keep it until she is way too big for it, then donate without any worries.
Have a great weekend.

It is hilarious how strong willed and independent little girls can be! We have granddaughters like that too but they are not here often enough to have a say on what we keep.

I guess that's the way to go so they'll be with me a tad bit longer. She'll feel better about it then.

Sometimes I can take things away and she never notices but if she does notice ...I get a good talking too

My kids (and now my grandkids) are the same way. They would often say, after being asked about donating or getting rid of something they had not played with in months!) "No... it's my Favortie!!!" My post is here if you want to stop by: http://jhthomas.blogspot.com/2021/01/five-word-friday-favorite-costume.html

My grandson is just starting to notice when I get rid of things. I got rid of a Little Tikes garage & he asked me for it....6 months later! I just try to remember that I cannot keep everything & he does not need to have everything.

You know I'm so glad in a small way that we didn't get much at garage sales this year. My husband does think she needs everything!

It takes them a long time to realize it's gone sometimes! Then they want to know.
