I have been thinking of these kind of bowls lately. I used to have one but I'm not sure really what happened. Maybe it cracked or maybe I lost it in the many moves we did as a young couple. Who knows but it's been on my mind.
So, I found this one by Rachel Ray listed on Amazon, that looks like something I had many years ago. Although I believe my bowl was a thicker version. I'm just not ready to pay the price yet ($16.00 for one bowl). So, I'm sitting on it and thinking of it. I mean I have a set of stainless steel bowls so I'm not hurting for bowls. Plus maybe, just maybe, I could find one at a garage sale this summer.
In the meantime it's on my Amazon shopping list. It can wait there for awhile till I decide. I find it's good to wait when I have a whim like this. I'll just take a break and probably forget all about it.
Do you do things like this?

I do the same. I also put items there that might make a good gift for family members. I agree with that about the forgetting about it and it not being important awhile later. I kind of do the same at thrift stores. I carry the item around with me and most of the time I am not as enamored with it after a few minutes. I do love R Ray stuff though. I just wish it was not so pricey.
Yes, I have a wish list on Amazon where I do exactly the same thing. I have that Rachael Ray bowl, although mine is orange and I bought it at Walmart. She calls it a garbage bowl, but it is very sturdy and I use it for all sorts of things. If it's the same one, I think you will be really pleased with it.
Here is my bowl:

I just BET you don't NEED it!! You surely have something else you could use. I have never shopped Amazon - so no list for me. Keeps me from being spendy - I don't want to start a bad habit!!! LOL (and I know I would)
That's just it ..learn to be satisfied 😌
I love your idea about walking around the thrift stores! It will make you think twice about needing it or not.
Yep someday I'll get one! She has good stuff.
Hi Belinda, I have that bowl too, only mine is in blue. My mil gave it to me several years ago, and it is handy. It is lightweight but sturdy.
I like that bowl, and I have a similar one.
I put stuff on my wish list too, but I rarely end up buying it. I do like Rachel Ray and Pioneer Woman's dishes. They are so pretty.
Yes Pioneer woman has beautiful stuff too. Maybe someone will get tired of their stuff this spring. Hope so!
I have my wish list on Amazon too! Mainly so I don't forget. A couple of years ago I did find a set of 3 vintage confetti bowls at a garage sale. They are so nice and light! Plus did find another bowl like them later that summer. I do have a couple of sets of Pyrex nesting bowls, which I also like but they are heavy! Never thought I'd worry about dishes being heavy but that's what getting old does to you! ha! I also pick up pretty plates and platters at garage sales-I don't know why! I do use them but have too many.
Kathy, the blue bowl is so pretty! It is a good and sturdy bowl.
I have such a long Amazon wish list. I've read that if you put something in your cart & leave it for a few days that sometimes they drop the price to get you to buy it. I've tried it but it's never worked for me....& I've had the price go up around $20 once on a Christmas gift. Bummer.
Yes I believe I'll wait like you and take my chances in garage sales this spring.
I know what your talking about I just got rid of a heavy pan. I hated that pan!
Yes, I like to think about things for a while. I'm in the process of rearranging my bookshelves, which are mostly books, but I'm adding in photos of my grandchildren and a few others. I've been looking at frames on Amazon and found some I might be able to use. Before I ordered, I decided to dig through some boxes to see what I might have on hand. I found quite a few that will probably work and won't cost me anything, so there was a frugal win for me!
I heard about that too Jenny and it never once has worked for me either. I'm so glad for being able to order during this time but I'm ready to shop more in stores to find some deals.
That is a win! Things are now out of storage at the right time for you. Great frugal win Kay!
