Snow Day!

The wind howled all night long and the temperature dropped really fast.  Winter is not over yet.  Then little snow flakes came and blew hard in the wind.  You ever hear of that saying, little snow, big snow or big snow, little snow?  If the flakes are small then there is a better chance you will have accumulation and vice versa.  It seems to hold true.

I was a little worried how the roads would be to go get the children so they could do their schooling here.  Thank goodness the school decided to close all learning for the day!

Now for me this morning I'll do a little crafting, a little winter sowing, and then clearing the snow.  Maybe we'll take the kids sledding later on after the roads are clear.

How's everything in your neck of the woods?

(I'm participating in the Friday Five's (using the words oven, cave, brave, painter, list)

God's hand has been like a painter this morning with snow drifting everywhere with the push of his mighty hand.  I love to look outside our snow cave and see how beautiful it is, as I work around the home.  I'm just not brave enough to stay out there too long. One of the things to do on my list was to push the button on the oven to clean it.  At least it will help warm up this house!

Enjoy your day! Sounds like a fun snow day!
I hadn't heard that snow saying.
We are supposed to get more snow on Sunday along with colder temps. I'm still sore from shoveling the driveway this week.

Husband is out there with the four wheeler plow. It's ice underneath that snow!
I heard that snow saying when I was a school bus driver and most of the time it's true. I shoveled the patio and walkway then cleaned off the cars.
Take it easy that snow can be so heavy! Stay warm this weekend!

Oh your writing prompt is beautiful...so creative! I may need to start following this.

We're supposed to drop down to single digits but no snow.

I did a little thrift shopping today. I found a few things mainly for my grandson & a sweet milk glass dish for me.
