Frugal Friday: Good deals and More Curbside shopping!

Here are the ways we saved this week:

We went curbside shopping and found some random dishes...Correlle bowls, platters, and some Wolmanized  wood.  We used a lot of our spare wood this Spring on random projects in the yard so it was good to stock up again and I love those big Corelle bowls!

Yesterday, I was able to hang a quilt on the line to dry.  The wind blew it dry fast.  It was the first time this year that I've been able to use my clothesline because of the mud to get back to it.

I bought 2 Katie's  Best Whole Chickens from Flash food -one for $6.27 and one for $5.89.  I also bought fish: one white Bass fish for $1.71 and some Catfish Fillets for $4.02.  All went in the freezer right away.

I planted another flat of Marigolds to put in the greenhouse.

We ate a freezer meal yesterday.  It was just leftovers from previous meals, so I made my own frozen t.v. dinners.   Husband had a pork chop, potatoes, and corn and I had a steak, onion, and cheese tortilla.  Better than eating out!

This morning I'm getting out hamburger to thaw for Spaghetti.  We have basically ate everything I had planned.  There was no leftover steak and husband said he couldn't eat those sloppy joes (youngest daughter loved them) so I've been making up the dinners as I go along!  Stuff happens!

I found some Easter paper plates in my stash.  I think we will use them this year!

Have a wonderful Good Friday!

Corelle are the best! What a find!

We finally found chicken to can and put 22 more jars of chicken breast in the pantry. We also got two large trays of thighs that went in the freezer which we will can when we come home from the lake. I love having canned chicken hand and it is so good.

Happy Easter!

Canned chicken is good and easy for a quick dinner. It's well worth the work.
Happy Easter Lana!

I love Correlle and wish I could find it at a yard sale. I saved a lot of time by cooking thirty helpings of protein in one evening.
