Keeping up With the House and Eating less Meat 5/20/22

I planted some of my marigolds from the green house in one of my planters yesterday.  I'm going to plant some Zinnia seed in the other one.  We haven't planted the main garden yet, I'm glad we waited because we are expected to get a lot of rain this afternoon (this happens just about every year).  The seeds and potatoes would have rotted.

We ate less meat last week.  We split two steaks we had bought from the Flashfood app awhile ago so that three people could have some.  We also used the left over taco meat in the Chili last night.  I'm glad I bought meat while I could from Flashfood awhile ago, I rarely see any meat on the app anymore in my area.

It's going to be hot before the rain, so I'll be hanging up a load of laundry outside today.

Not much going on this week except keeping up with the house.

How did you save money last week?

I hope to get my garden planted maybe Sunday - rain should be done by then. It is getting to about 90 here today - not hanging laundry though. It would be in the next county!! LOL It is windy to say the least.
Hope you have a good weekend.

We are on the same weather pattern Cheryl. It's close to 90 and windy. Although it's not as windy the laundry got done in record time. LOL
Have a good weekend too!

I’ve been having problems not being able to leave comments.
We are having rain and then sun- and I’m not finding many deals either.
Hope your greenhouse plants do great!

We have the same hot dry wind today but it is good because sealer went on the deck and has dried very nicely.

It seems I am thinking of the cost of everything we eat now. We have been snacking on nuts for years but now I am thinking that they are pretty pricey and have started eating pretzels instead.

Rhonda so many of us are having problems with the comments... Not sure what's causing it.
My plants are so small I hope they get going soon.

Lana we love nuts too in a big jar from Sams. We can't do pretzels but I we now do pork rinds. Although not too many for me they make me choke.

Glad your sealer dried fast!

Hi again. I THRILLED to see my comment went through. Maybe I’ve figured out the magic trick

Hi again Rhonda, I recently had to change my comments form so maybe it helped. I'm glad it worked this time.

We cook meat in a marathon. I thawed, cooked, and froze ground beef, bscb, and a pork roast. Well, I leave out enough to eat for a few days and then freeze the rest in meal for two portions.

I love that practical..it's always good to have things ready for busy days. Some days I'm wiped out. We do cook ahead when we grill..can't wait to start doing that again.
