Frugal Saturday! 5/6/23

Good News!  It's tulip time here in our part of Michigan and the sun is shinning again this morning!

Yeah, this was a lot of noise.  Our indoor cat put the neighbor's cat up the well.  I finally had enough of the racket and took our cat inside.  Yep, he hates me now.

I put the cabbages in bigger pots yesterday.  I also planted the leaf lettuce I had growing in the cold frame greenhouse in the garden.

Yesterday morning we went to a lot of garage sales  (M-15 garage sales) and I found a lot of clothes for about $30.  For me I found 4 pairs of capri's and 2 blouses.  For grandson I found a hoodie, swim trunks, and a Columbia Fall jacket.  For the grand daughter I found a nice winter jacket.  I always take my time on these jackets and check the zippers to make sure they work.  You can tell, I've learned a lesson.

I found a lot of Barbie dolls for $5.00 for granddaughter.  Not the greatest dolls but she is practicing cutting hair so they don't need to be perfect.  The naked ones were given to me free.

I also found her a pretty backpack with a lunchbox in front for $3.00.

I sneezed yesterday and knocked out my neck.  LOL.  I am old and sleep was healing!

How's everything at your house?

Bless you! Sneezing can do it! I seem to pull my back doing the simplest things, too. Your red tulips are GORGEOUS!

There's nothing like a cat fight! Good job on the yard sales. Getting old is not for wimps! I fell yesterday and who knows how long it will be before I get over that. I hope your neck feels better soon.

They sure do love to defend! The neighbor's cat and ours never did get along but the other two our cat will put up with. Not sure why.
Have a great weekend too Cheryl!

Little Penpen, thanks, You know I tried to dig those tulips all up one year. I didn't want them in that spot. They have grown so much over the years, always blooming and more every Spring. I'm so glad they survived.
Have a good weekend

OMG, yes, I’ve learned a lesson or two at yard sales too. When I had a jacket with a broken zipper I would tell people and let them have it for free. To do otherwise isn’t right in my opinion. I once bought a set of sheets that were tapped together nicely. When I got home they were shredded In the middle! Ugh! I’m glad you found some nice things though. It’s one of my favorite things to do.

One of my friends broke a rib one time when she sneezed. Glad the nap helped!

Imagine breaking a rib ..oh my goodness!
You got to test out everything from garage sales that you can. That's really sad about your sheets.
Have a great weekend Belinda

Hope that your neck feels better. Great buys at the yard sale. I know your grand daughter will love the barbies.
