It's hot and dry here in Michigan and I still haven't completed the garden. It's 75% planted so I hope to get it done today. After near 90 all week we are scheduled to cool down tomorrow (Sunday). I hope so. We water daily and things are beggining to come up.
I'm after some straw this morning to go in between the rows to keep down the weeds. I've been using the Halloween bales that I was given last year and I have almost run out. I couldn't use the grass clippings at all, the grass is not growing!
Yesterday we took a break from it all and went fishing up north. The water was very low at the foote dam and nothing was really biting so we decided to move fishing spots.
Then husband started catching some big fish, so it was fun. I caught a lot of small bass fish that had to be thrown back. ha ha.

We haven't been that hot yet even here on the south! We are at the end of two weeks away at the lake. We had a house full of kids and grandkids here over the weekend and had such a lovely visit. Tomorrow it is home and back to reality.
So glad you had such a nice visit! There is nothing like family Lana.
Further up north there are wild fires they said. They had to close 75 north and south due to poor visibility. Very dry.
