Our Grocery Shopping Deal this Week 10/12/19!

My grocery shopping this past week was kind of ho hum.  Nothing exciting about milk and bread.  Then, I went to Rite Aid and found a great deal on this 16 oz bag of Wonderful Pistachios.  They were marked $5.97 (or very close to it).  The receipt is long gone but what a deal.  As you can see, we opened them up as quick as we got them!  So much for saving them for later.

What great grocery shopping deal or deals did you get this week?

What a nice treat! We got chicken tenderloins for 1.49 a pound and apples for .49 a pound. The rest was just the usual list of milk, juice and produce.

That was it for us too just the usual. Your deals on Apple and chicken though can't be beat!

Vicky that is cheap for pistachios and sometimes we just have to eat our specials because we have to :) .

Last week we saw a 10% off everything online shopping voucher emailed to us for our larger supermarket we shop at for our staples. We took advantage of it and purchased our usual groceries and topped up some more on staples we needed to top up to a 12 month supply saving $26.62 on usual prices.

We topped up supplies further on a carton of tinned corn kernels, 6 tins of green beans, a carton of tinned mushrooms, a carton of tinned mango slices, a carton of tinned lychees, a carton of chocolate baking chips, 1 x brown sugar, 2 x 1kg of frozen mixed vegetables, 2 x pkts medium freezer bags, 6 x olive oil spread and baking paper.

Our generic brand staples never come on special here so we are happy with what we got at a cheaper price :) .

We love that the are in the shell. Getting them out slows us down!
You got some great deals Lorna. Those vouchers really make a difference. You got your sale on the generic brand just in a different way. Good deal!

I love pistachios. Do you remember when they were always dyed red?
