My Frugal Ways for the Past Two Weeks 11/15/15

Snow on the pumpkin

We started out with a dusting of snow that barely covered the pumpkin yesterday morning. By this morning though:

A mountain of snow on the pumpkin

It was completely covered and snowplowing is on the agenda this morning.   I guess we needed a reminder that winter is near!  Really because last Sunday we were doing this!

Grilling out last Sunday

We made enough on the grill to last us quite a few dinners.   We were blessed with some pinto beans and cornbread from a friend.

I made Christmas gifts  for grandson's teacher and the post man. The next week I made a Christmas gift for my youngest daughter.

Gift Bag I made

I  made a gift bag for Christmas from a bag we received at the vision store.

I used paper from a delivered box to wrap up books.

Used coupons to get good deals.

I clipped coupons from the magazines that came this week.   We also get a paper that is thrown in our driveway every Saturday that we get coupons from.

Received a book for free from Tyndale Rewards.

Accepted some Christmas decorations the church no longer needed.

I received a pharmacy reward from Meijer for .50 off per gallon of gas.

I received free oatmeal in the mail from a sample I requested.

I made up a homemade oven cleaner from a recipe I found.  It worked great and was easy to use.  My husband says the self cleaning oven always makes him choke when we are not able to open windows.  Really it does me too,..

What did you do this past week to save money?
