Merry Christmas!

I hope everyone will have a Merry Christmas.  Today I'm busy cleaning house then I'll be starting Christmas dinner.   Just in case you wondered what was on the menu Christmas Day:

Ham (covered with pineapples and brown sugar)

Mashed Potatoes

Sweet Potato Casserole

Shuck Beans

Corn (I bought this summer)

Rolls

Dessert

2 pies (pecan and sweet potato)

Gingerbread cookies

The rolls came from eating out this Sunday with oldest daughter. We went to a buffet resturant and they give us 12 of their delicious rolls to take home. I froze them right when I got home!

Traditions:  Cooking shuck beans is a tradition my husband wants to keep from his childhood.  Now we associate the smell of beans cooking with Christmas.  I'm so thankful for our garden!

Everything came in the mail, so this morning I'm also wrapping up the last two presents.

The best part of Christmas though will be watching the grandkids open their presents! What fun!

I hope you will have a joyous Christmas too!

(I'll be back on Saturday)
