Happy New Year! I hope you have a wonderful day today!
Here are the ways I've saved this past week:
I made gift tags out of the Christmas cards I received.
I bought enough wrapping paper to last me a couple of years on the after Christmas sales. I also bought a couple of small gifts on sale to put back for the grandchildren.
Gave oldest daughter some of the Christmas Ham to take home and then we used the rest in our dinners.
Switched cable companies to save around $40.00 a month for two years.
Filled up the cars before the new gas tax for Michigan. Saved us a little this week😀. Next week there is no getting around it.
Today we start No spend January! So far so good!
Menu: What's been on the Dinner table
Monday Put ham and cheese on a roll then melted it and dinner was made. Side dish potato chips. Exhaustion over took me.
Tuesday Au-Gratin potatoes with ham, Shuck beans
Wednesday Ham roll ups. Just ham and cheese rolled up in bread dough and then baked. These did not turn out as well as I hoped. We ate them anyway.
Thursday Breakfast for dinner, sausage, hash browns, eggs, and biscuits
Friday Out to eat
Saturday Sandwiches
Sunday Pork Chops, black-eyed peas, and hash brown casserole.
My goals for next week:
In and around the Home:
Start Spring cleaning (yes I'm back to Spring cleaning this year- I start in January to get it done before Spring-I'm very slow) This week I'm in the computer room cleaning and organizing. I may be here next week too.
Here is our cat Smokey helping me get underneath things!
Finish a homemade Christmas gift for next year. I like to do a least one a month.
Blog:
Write a book review.
